1Request

ISO 3166-1 alpha-3 country code (TUR, BRA), or a UIS regional id from the geo-units capability - those are literal labels with a colon and spaces, e.g. "AIMS: Central Asia", so they must be URL-encoded.

Earliest reference year, inclusive. Mandatory here because an unbounded country query exceeds the upstream 100,000-record cap and dies as a 502 rather than a clean error.

Latest reference year, inclusive. Keep the window to roughly a decade - six years of Brazil is already 1.8 MB.

Narrows the profile to a single UIS indicator code such as CR.1. Omit to get the country's full reported set.

Attaches the per-data-point caveats UIS publishes. Noticeably enlarges an already large country response.

Ask with this source

A prompt for your agent that names this source and how to call it through the crw MCP.

  • Country statistics profile

Use UNESCO Institute for Statistics (unesco) from fastCRW Pergamon, capability "Country statistics profile" (country-data). You are asked about a country's education, science or culture statistics in general and do not yet know which indicator code answers the question. Example options: geoUnit=BRA, start=2015, end=2020. Use the crw MCP tools: crw_find_data to confirm the source and its options, then crw_get_data with provider "unesco" and capability "country-data". Tell me the credits used and cite the licence from the response. If the crw MCP tools are missing, install them with: npx -y crw-mcp install --api-key <your fastCRW API key>

  • Indicator observations

Use UNESCO Institute for Statistics (unesco) from fastCRW Pergamon, capability "Indicator observations" (data). You already know which UIS indicator code you want and need its actual numbers - across every reporting country, or for one country over a year range. Example options: indicator=CR.1, geoUnit=TUR, geoUnitType=NATIONAL. Use the crw MCP tools: crw_find_data to confirm the source and its options, then crw_get_data with provider "unesco" and capability "data". Tell me the credits used and cite the licence from the response. If the crw MCP tools are missing, install them with: npx -y crw-mcp install --api-key <your fastCRW API key>

  • Current data release

Use UNESCO Institute for Statistics (unesco) from fastCRW Pergamon, capability "Current data release" (default-version). You want to know how current the figures you are about to quote are, or need one version id to pin a batch of queries to. Use the crw MCP tools: crw_find_data to confirm the source and its options, then crw_get_data with provider "unesco" and capability "default-version". Tell me the credits used and cite the licence from the response. If the crw MCP tools are missing, install them with: npx -y crw-mcp install --api-key <your fastCRW API key>

  • Geography catalogue

Use UNESCO Institute for Statistics (unesco) from fastCRW Pergamon, capability "Geography catalogue" (geo-units). You need the exact country or region id UIS accepts, or want to check whether a territory or regional grouping is covered at all. Example options: version=20260507-91260335. Use the crw MCP tools: crw_find_data to confirm the source and its options, then crw_get_data with provider "unesco" and capability "geo-units". Tell me the credits used and cite the licence from the response. If the crw MCP tools are missing, install them with: npx -y crw-mcp install --api-key <your fastCRW API key>
