1Request

Decimal degrees between -90 and 90, positive north. Values outside the range are a 400 invalid_lat, not a clamp.

Decimal degrees between -180 and 180, positive east. A point at sea is fine and resolves to a nautical Etc/GMT zone.

YYYY-MM-DD, or the keywords today and tomorrow. Omitted means today in the location's own timezone, not yours.

IANA identifier that overrides the timezone inferred from the coordinate. Abbreviations such as PST are rejected with a 400, unlike v1 which silently fell back to UTC.

Ask with this source

A prompt for your agent that names this source and how to call it through the crw MCP.

  • Solar and lunar almanac for a day

Use Sunrise-Sunset (sunrisesunset) from fastCRW Pergamon, capability "Solar and lunar almanac for a day" (almanac). You have a coordinate and want everything the sun and moon do there on one day, already in local time. Example options: lat=51.5074, lng=-0.1278, date=2026-06-21. Use the crw MCP tools: crw_find_data to confirm the source and its options, then crw_get_data with provider "sunrisesunset" and capability "almanac". Tell me the credits used and cite the licence from the response. If the crw MCP tools are missing, install them with: npx -y crw-mcp install --api-key <your fastCRW API key>

  • Solar and lunar almanac over a date range

Use Sunrise-Sunset (sunrisesunset) from fastCRW Pergamon, capability "Solar and lunar almanac over a date range" (almanac-range). You need a season or a whole year of sun times for one place and want it in a single call instead of one request per day. Example options: lat=51.5074, lng=-0.1278, date_start=2026-06-01. Use the crw MCP tools: crw_find_data to confirm the source and its options, then crw_get_data with provider "sunrisesunset" and capability "almanac-range". Tell me the credits used and cite the licence from the response. If the crw MCP tools are missing, install them with: npx -y crw-mcp install --api-key <your fastCRW API key>

  • Sunrise and sunset times (v1)

Use Sunrise-Sunset (sunrisesunset) from fastCRW Pergamon, capability "Sunrise and sunset times (v1)" (times). You are maintaining something already written against the legacy /json shape, or you want the bare sun times in UTC with no moon or golden-hour fields. Example options: lat=51.5074, lng=-0.1278, date=2026-06-21. Use the crw MCP tools: crw_find_data to confirm the source and its options, then crw_get_data with provider "sunrisesunset" and capability "times". Tell me the credits used and cite the licence from the response. If the crw MCP tools are missing, install them with: npx -y crw-mcp install --api-key <your fastCRW API key>
