Human Protein Atlas
www.proteinatlas.org
The Human Protein Atlas maps every human protein-coding gene across tissues, brain regions, single cell types, blood cells, cancers and cell lines, with antibody-based subcellular localisation, plasma concentrations and cancer survival associations for roughly 20,000 genes.
GET /v1/data/proteinatlas/antibodies1Request
HPA search string. A gene symbol, gene name, UniProt accession or Ensembl gene id matches those genes; a field query of the form field:value selects a whole set, e.g. protein_class:Transcription factors or subcell_location:Nucleoplasm. Matching is substring-wide, so a short symbol such as TH or INS matches thousands of genes and can push the response past our 8 MB ceiling - pass an Ensembl gene id (ENSG...) when you want exactly one gene.

Citation is mandatory, not optional: "If you cite or display any content, or reference our organization, in any format ... you must ... Include a reference to a Primary publication ... Ask with this source
A prompt for your agent that names this source and how to call it through the crw MCP.
Antibodies and assay reliability
Use Human Protein Atlas (proteinatlas) from fastCRW Pergamon, capability "Antibodies and assay reliability" (antibodies). You need an antibody for a protein, or want to judge how trustworthy HPA's staining data for it is. Example options: search=TP53. Use the crw MCP tools: crw_find_data to confirm the source and its options, then crw_get_data with provider "proteinatlas" and capability "antibodies". Tell me the credits used and cite the licence from the response. If the crw MCP tools are missing, install them with: npx -y crw-mcp install --api-key <your fastCRW API key>
Blood cell expression and plasma concentration
Use Human Protein Atlas (proteinatlas) from fastCRW Pergamon, capability "Blood cell expression and plasma concentration" (blood-expression). You want a gene's expression across immune cell populations, or whether its protein is measurable in blood plasma and at what concentration. Example options: search=LYZ. Use the crw MCP tools: crw_find_data to confirm the source and its options, then crw_get_data with provider "proteinatlas" and capability "blood-expression". Tell me the credits used and cite the licence from the response. If the crw MCP tools are missing, install them with: npx -y crw-mcp install --api-key <your fastCRW API key>
Immune cell RNA levels (nTPM)
Use Human Protein Atlas (proteinatlas) from fastCRW Pergamon, capability "Immune cell RNA levels (nTPM)" (blood-rna-levels). You need the expression number for a named immune cell type - monocytes, NK cells, naive B-cells - rather than a specificity category. Example options: search=CD19. Use the crw MCP tools: crw_find_data to confirm the source and its options, then crw_get_data with provider "proteinatlas" and capability "blood-rna-levels". Tell me the credits used and cite the licence from the response. If the crw MCP tools are missing, install them with: npx -y crw-mcp install --api-key <your fastCRW API key>
Brain regional specificity
Use Human Protein Atlas (proteinatlas) from fastCRW Pergamon, capability "Brain regional specificity" (brain-expression). You are asking where in the brain a gene is expressed, or whether its brain expression is conserved across human, mouse and pig. Example options: search=SLC6A3. Use the crw MCP tools: crw_find_data to confirm the source and its options, then crw_get_data with provider "proteinatlas" and capability "brain-expression". Tell me the credits used and cite the licence from the response. If the crw MCP tools are missing, install them with: npx -y crw-mcp install --api-key <your fastCRW API key>
