openSenseMap
api.opensensemap.org
openSenseMap is a citizen-science environmental sensor network run by the University of Münster's senseBox project: 17,000+ registered boxes reporting temperature, humidity, particulate matter, pressure, light and similar measurements, with box metadata, per-sensor time series and spatial statistics.

Ask with this source
A prompt for your agent that names this source and how to call it through the crw MCP.
One sensor box
Use openSenseMap (opensensemap) from fastCRW Pergamon, capability "One sensor box" (box). You hold a box id from the list and need its metadata and sensor inventory. Example options: boxId=5e61c1cc6cc61f001c6e4086. Use the crw MCP tools: crw_find_data to confirm the source and its options, then crw_get_data with provider "opensensemap" and capability "box". Tell me the credits used and cite the licence from the response. If the crw MCP tools are missing, install them with: npx -y crw-mcp install --api-key <your fastCRW API key>
Sensor boxes near an area
Use openSenseMap (opensensemap) from fastCRW Pergamon, capability "Sensor boxes near an area" (boxes). You need to find citizen weather or air-quality stations in a geographic area before pulling their measurements. Example options: bbox=-0.2,51.4,0.0,51.6, phenomenon=PM10, date=2026-10-20T00:00:00Z. Use the crw MCP tools: crw_find_data to confirm the source and its options, then crw_get_data with provider "opensensemap" and capability "boxes". Tell me the credits used and cite the licence from the response. If the crw MCP tools are missing, install them with: npx -y crw-mcp install --api-key <your fastCRW API key>
Latest readings for a box
Use openSenseMap (opensensemap) from fastCRW Pergamon, capability "Latest readings for a box" (box-sensors). You want the current reading from every sensor on a box in a single call. Example options: boxId=5e61c1cc6cc61f001c6e4086. Use the crw MCP tools: crw_find_data to confirm the source and its options, then crw_get_data with provider "opensensemap" and capability "box-sensors". Tell me the credits used and cite the licence from the response. If the crw MCP tools are missing, install them with: npx -y crw-mcp install --api-key <your fastCRW API key>
Descriptive statistics over an area
Use openSenseMap (opensensemap) from fastCRW Pergamon, capability "Descriptive statistics over an area" (descriptive-statistics). You want an average or another aggregate for a pollutant or climate variable across a city, not individual readings. Example options: bbox=-0.2,51.4,0.0,51.6, phenomenon=PM10, fromDate=2026-10-20T00:00:00Z. Use the crw MCP tools: crw_find_data to confirm the source and its options, then crw_get_data with provider "opensensemap" and capability "descriptive-statistics". Tell me the credits used and cite the licence from the response. If the crw MCP tools are missing, install them with: npx -y crw-mcp install --api-key <your fastCRW API key>
