ipify
api.ipify.org
A minimal public IP address API: returns the caller's own public IPv4 address, or the address seen on a dual-stack endpoint, as JSON.
GET /v1/data/ipify/public-ip-dual-stack1Request
curl "https://api.fastcrw.com/v1/data/ipify/public-ip-dual-stack" \ -H "Authorization: Bearer $FASTCRW_API_KEY"
2Response example
A sample shape. Press Run to see live data from ipify.
{
"ip": "78.58.121.230"
}Attribution: Public IP address as observed by ipify (api.ipify.org). No attribution required.
Licence: ipify publishes no data licence, because it publishes no third-party data: the only content of a response is the caller's own IP address, which is not ipify's to license. The site makes three relevant statements: "You can use it without limit (even if you're doing millions of requests per minute)", "No visitor information is ever logged. Period.", and "ipify is completely open source" (the server implementation is on GitHub). There is no copyrightable dataset here and no restriction is placed on use, so commercial use is recorded true; redistribution is also recorded true in the sense that nothing is withheld, though the response is specific to the calling client and there is no upstream corpus to redistribute. No attribution is requested and none is claimed.
Ask with this source
A prompt for your agent that names this source and how to call it through the crw MCP.
Public IP, dual stack
Use ipify (ipify) from fastCRW Pergamon, capability "Public IP, dual stack" (public-ip-dual-stack). You want the public address a dual-stack client presents, whichever family the network uses. Use the crw MCP tools: crw_find_data to confirm the source and its options, then crw_get_data with provider "ipify" and capability "public-ip-dual-stack". Tell me the credits used and cite the licence from the response. If the crw MCP tools are missing, install them with: npx -y crw-mcp install --api-key <your fastCRW API key>
Public IPv4 address
Use ipify (ipify) from fastCRW Pergamon, capability "Public IPv4 address" (public-ipv4). You need the public IPv4 address this client egresses from, for allow-listing or diagnostics. Use the crw MCP tools: crw_find_data to confirm the source and its options, then crw_get_data with provider "ipify" and capability "public-ipv4". Tell me the credits used and cite the licence from the response. If the crw MCP tools are missing, install them with: npx -y crw-mcp install --api-key <your fastCRW API key>
