"value": "Current as of July 29, 2025. 1) The Crime Severity Index is calculated using the Uniform Crime Reporting (UCR) Survey, a census of all crime known to police services. 4) The CSI measures both the volume and the severity of crime and includes all Criminal Code violations including traffic and other federal statutes violations.2) The Youth Crime Severity Index is based on the same principles as the Overall Crime Severity Index, which reflects the relative seriousness of different offences, but uses the number of youths accused instead of an incident count. 3) During the production of each year's crime statistics, data from the previous year are revised to reflect any updates or changes that have been received from the police services. 5) Where data is unavailable, the cell has been marked by \"..\"."

NSBI), HOURLY (Hourly Paid), MCP (Old Management Classification Plan Excluded - on LTD), NSBI (Nova Scotia Business Inc. NSBI), EDC (Old Agricultural College - on LTD). *Notes to consider when using this dataset: a) Start and end dates will specify the effective period of time the pay scale is active, as entered into the Province of Nova Scotia's SAP transactional system. Effective period dates can vary according to collective agreements currently in effect. Most classification effective dates run from April 1 - March 31, however CUPE effective dates run from November 1 - October 31. As contracts are negotiated, pay scales can change, even retroactively. This dataset is re-loaded annually, and may not contain new or retroactive changes resulting from negotiations until the next annual refresh. Refer to published Collective Agreements in these cases. b) Pay Plan Type is either Excluded (Non-Union) or Bargaining Unit (Union) c) If Pay Plan Level is blank, there are no Pay Plan Levels for the specified Pay Plan d) For a specified Pay Plan and/or Level, there will only be a Bi-weekly or Hourly Pay Rate, not both (one will be blank) e) If you try to expand Hourly Pay Rates to Bi-weekly Amounts or Hourly/Bi-weekly Pay Rates to Annual Amounts, they will be estimates only (factors such as varying work hours and the number of annual pay periods will vary from year to year).
