GET /v1/data/nobelprize/laureate1 credit

Returns a single laureate by numeric id: all name forms, gender, birth and death place and country, every prize with year, category, motivation, prize share and affiliation, plus portrait and Wikipedia links. The response is an array with one element.

Returns laureates - people and organisations - with names in three languages, gender, birth and death details, the prizes and motivations they received, affiliations and portrait links.

Licence

Nobel Prize Outreach dedicates the API to the public domain. Its Terms of Use state: "The Services are free to use according to the Creative Commons Zero (CC0) license. In case of conflicting terms or other inconsistencies, these Terms shall prevail." The same terms add two limits that are not licence restrictions but still bind us: "Applications that use the Services should not deliberately alter or censor the data, or deliberately mislead the end users" and "Applications shall be constructed in a manner which minimizes the capacity burden of the API. Consider using a local cache instead of performing many API calls." Trademarks are carved out: "Applications and other products and services may not use Nobel Prize Outreach's name, logos, or other trademarks in their titles or logos, or in any way that implies endorsement, sponsorship, or false association with Nobel Prize Outreach", though citation is encouraged. CC0 covers the data itself, so commercial use and redistribution are both allowed.
