Public recordsQA

www.data.gov.qa

Qatar's national open-data platform: catalogue search and row-level queries.

Capabilities (11)

GET /v1/data/datagovqa/catalog-dcat1 credit

Returns the entire portal as one Project Open Data 1.1 catalog document: a dcat:Catalog whose dataset array holds all 1,953 entries with title, description, keyword, theme, publisher, contactPoint, licence, issued and modified dates, identifier, and a distribution list of every download URL and media type.

GET /v1/data/datagovqa/catalog-facets1 credit

Returns the catalogue's own facets with a dataset count against each value. By default: theme (SDG Indicators 335, Trade and Industry 186, Population and Demography 178, ...), publisher, modified and features; name facet=keyword, facet=license or facet=language to get those too.

GET /v1/data/datagovqa/dataset1 credit

Returns one dataset's full descriptor: every field with its machine name, type (text, date, int, geo_point_2d, geo_shape), bilingual label and description, plus the metadata blocks - title, description, theme, keywords, publisher, licence, attributions, language, modified and data-processed timestamps, records_count and records_size.

dataset_idselect?lang?timezone?
GET /v1/data/datagovqa/dataset-export1 credit

Returns a bare JSON array of dataset rows with no paging envelope, bypassing the 100-row cap of the records endpoint - limit=20000 really does return 20,000 rows - with the row count you ask for.

dataset_idlimitselect?where?order_by?refine?exclude?offset?lang?timezone?
GET /v1/data/datagovqa/dataset-facets1 credit

Returns every facetted column of one dataset together with its distinct values and the row count behind each value, so you see the dataset's actual vocabulary - the exact spellings of every municipality, gender, year or category it contains.

dataset_idfacet?refine?exclude?where?lang?timezone?
GET /v1/data/datagovqa/dataset-geojson1 credit

Returns the dataset as a GeoJSON FeatureCollection: each row becomes a Feature whose geometry is the row's point or polygon and whose properties carry the remaining columns, ready to drop into Leaflet, Mapbox, QGIS or GeoPandas without conversion.

dataset_idlimitselect?where?order_by?refine?exclude?offset?lang?timezone?
GET /v1/data/datagovqa/datasets1 credit

Returns a paged list of the portal's 1,953 datasets with full metadata for each: dataset_id, bilingual title and description, theme, keywords, publisher, licence, modified date, record count, the declared field schema (name, type, labels) and the visibility flag, plus a total_count for the whole matching set.

where?refine?exclude?order_by?select?group_by?limit?offset?lang?timezone?
GET /v1/data/datagovqa/dataset-usage1 credit

Returns one flat row per dataset from the portal's own monitoring table: dataset_id, title, publisher, licence, keyword, theme, modified date, records_count, records_size, api_call_count, download_count, attachment and file-field download counts, reuse_count, popularity_score, visibility and federation flag.

select?where?group_by?order_by?refine?exclude?limit?offset?timezone?
GET /v1/data/datagovqa/network-datasets1 credit

Searches the whole Opendatasoft public network from this host - 102,856 datasets published by hundreds of unrelated governments, cities and companies worldwide, not just Qatar - returning the same metadata shape as the Qatari catalogue, with the source portal after the @ in each dataset_id. Metadata only: the rows of a federated dataset are not readable through this host.

where?refine?exclude?order_by?select?group_by?limit?offset?lang?timezone?
GET /v1/data/datagovqa/record1 credit

Returns one record of a dataset as a flat JSON object with every field, including the full geo_shape geometry where the dataset has one, without the paging envelope the records endpoint wraps results in.

dataset_idrecord_idlang?timezone?
GET /v1/data/datagovqa/records1 credit

Returns up to 100 rows of a dataset as JSON objects keyed by field name, with total_count for the full matching set. The same endpoint does aggregation: supply group_by plus an aggregate in select (count(*), sum(x), avg(x)) and you get grouped totals instead of rows.
