Returns the actual data rows of a dataset as keyed JSON objects, plus the total row count and a column schema with the human-readable description of every field.

Licence

CMS states on data.cms.gov/about: "Works of the U.S. Government are in the public domain and you don't need permission to reuse them, but an attribution to the agency as the source is appreciated. Your materials, however, shouldn't give the false impression that the government's endorsing your commercial products or services. See 42 U.S.C 1320b-10". The Provider Data Catalog FAQ adds: "The Provider Data Catalog API does not require an API key to access the data." and "No, there are no rate limits or restrictions on the PDC API." Public domain with no reuse restriction, so commercial use and redistribution are both permitted; the only constraint is the statutory bar on implying CMS or Medicare endorsement of a product or service.
